Lynchwood Church of God, A Brief Look at Who We Are

By thought, word and deed, making Christ the center of all we think, say and do

Local Activities:

1) The Live Nativity - Scenes of the life of Christ portrayed each Christmas by members of the congregation and live animals.
2) Home Scout Troop and Pack #542 in East Multnomah county.

The Church of God exists to:
 
Worship the Lord Disciple Believers Celebrate Unity
Reach the Lost Equip for Ministry Live out the Love of Christ
Our Doctrine
 
1) Non-denominational - No formal membership - Being a Christian makes you a member.
2) The Bible - Holy inspired word of God.
3) The virgin birth - Jesus was born of the virgin, Mary.
4) Jesus died and was resurrected. His blood is an atonement for our sins.
5) The Trinity - Father, Son and the Holy Spirit - Three in one.
6) Water baptism - by immersion.
7) Open communion to all believers.
8) Au-millennial - Jesus' return will take us home at one time, no earthly kingdom.
9) Holy Spirit filled - God's power indwelling in our lives as believers.
